Vocab:
昼ご飯 (ひるごはん, hirugohan) – lunch
昼 mean midday, while ご飯 means rice. Put them together and you get midday rice/meal, aka lunch.

食堂 (しょくどう, shokudou) – dining hall; cafeteria; canteen
