Arashi’s Are You Happy concert DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on the 31st of May.
The concert promotes Arashi’s 15th album, the oricon ranked no. 1 album “Are You Happy“. The concert was held from November 2016 to January 2017; a total of 18 shows attracting over 855 thousand fans was held. The tour was held in the 5 major domes of Japan, and the DVD/Blu-Ray features the tour in Tokyo Dome.
In this concert, Arashi presents “what Arashi feels about Arashi”, what each of them feels makes them Arashi, and what Arashi means to themselves, and how to present the songs they produced individually. Each member showed off their individual tastes with their individually produced performance and staging. Towards the end of the concert, Arashi revealed a “Happy Medley” consisting of various popular songs from the past to the present, bringing smiles to everyone and pushing the concert venue to the ‘maximum happiness’.
The DVD/Blu-Ray comes in two editions, the Limited Edition and Regular Edition. The Limited Edition contains two DVDs with footage of the “Arashi ‘Japonism Show’ in Arena” and a photo booklet, while the Regular Edition contains a DVD with the “Documentary Film ~Are You Happy~” directed by Harada Yosuke.
The “Arashi ‘Japonism Show’ in Arena” took place in 2016, and is Arashi’s first arena tour in 9 years. The Limited Edition special video contains footage from the August 2016 Yokoyama arena tour.
The “Documentary Film ~Are You Happy~” contains a total coverage of the Are You Happy concert, from conceptualization to rehearsals, up through the end of the concert. The documentary shows precious footage of each of the members producing the concert, and will allow viewers to further enjoy the actual live concert footage.
